If you need additional support...

  • If you are struggling with your mental health please contact your GP, midwife, health visitor or local perinatal mental health service.

  • Your GP can refer you to NHS psychological services if appropriate and provide advice on local organisations offering support to parents.

  • For urgent help please visit your Accident and Emergency department, call 999 or local crisis team. The Postpartum Psychologist does not provide crisis support or urgent mental health care.

  • You can also contact mental health helplines, including the Samaritans (www.samaritans.org or phone 116 123).
